Brother and sister Ronald and Adrianne Ross did their share of damage while wearing the black and gold of Hobbs, both collecting state titles. They both went on to strong Division-I programs (Ronald at Texas Tech, Adrianne at TCU) where they shined as well.
Therefore it should be no surprise each has continued on with their basketball careers, finding success in Europe where both lead their respective leagues in scoring.
Ronald is playing in the Croatian Basketball Federation for a team called Jolly JBS and currently leads the league in scoring (22.1) and steals (2.3) through nine contests while also being in the top 10 in assists (third at 4.1), 3-point percentage (seventh at 44.4 percent) and rebounding (10th at 5.2). His team is in third place at 6-3.
Adrianne is playing in Poland for Energa Torun and is averaging a league-best 19.3 points per game to go along with 4.6 rebounds, 2.6 steals (fourth in the league) and 2.6 assists per contest. Her team is 6-4 on the season.
Having been around the both of them during Hobbs Summer League over the years, it's hard not to root for these two. Both are kind with their time and willing to talk to kids, play basketball with them and share their experiences from overseas.
I'll keep updating every week or two their progress overseas as their seasons continue.
